In an effort to help ease a severe nursing faculty shortage, several New England states have banded together to offer nursing scholarships and grants to help nurses earn an advanced nursing degree such as their Master’s in Nursing or Doctorate in exchange for a promise to teach nursing.

Nurses who agree to practice in facilities with critical shortages or who will serve as nurse faculty are now eligible for a newly announced student loan repayment program from the federal government. See article for details…
