Loretto Heights School of Nursing at Regis University
The Loretto Heights School of Nursing (LHSON) at Regis University in Denver, Colorado began as Loretto Heights College in 1948 and moved to Regis University in 1988. The mission of LHSON is to provide values-centered, professional nursing education and to strengthen commitment to social justice and community service.
The Loretto Heights School of Nursing (LHSON) offers two degree programs, an undergraduate Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) and a graduate Master of Science (MS) in nursing. These programs are offered in a number of different scheduling formats in order to provide individualized and supportive learning environments for students with diverse backgrounds.
Online RN-BSN Completion
A Registered Nurse with credentials from a hospital school of nursing or with an Associate Degree from a community college may apply for Regis University's RN to BSN program, which is specifically designed to help working RNs in their careers without interrupting their personal or professional responsibilities.
Online RN to MS in Nursing "Bridge Program"
Regis University's RN to MS in Nursing program combines the RN to BSN Completion and Master of Science in Nursing programs into a single curriculum, allowing you to pursue both a BSN and MS in Nursing degree.
Available in a convenient online format, the RN to MSN bridge program, (also available on campus), may allow students to specialize in either nursing education or management.
Online Master of Science, Nursing (MS)
If you're already an RN with a bachelor's degree, Regis University offers an online MSN program designed specifically for working professionals looking to enrich their experience and education with a focus in either education or management.
The graduate program in the Loretto Heights School of Nursing comprises of a Master of Science (MS) degree in nursing that may prepare graduates for roles in Health Care Systems as managers or educators, as Family Nurse Practitioners, or Neonatal Nurse Practitioners.
Graduate education for registered nurses is also offered with an undergraduate entry point in the RN to MS in Nursing Program in which both a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and a Master of Science degree in nursing with a specialization in Leadership in Health Care Systems. The two degrees are completed as a single program.
Regis University is accredited through the Higher Learning Commission and is a member of the North Central Association. Regis University's Loretto Heights School of Nursing has been continuously accredited since 1952 by the National League of Nursing and, more recently, by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education.
Financial assistance programs at Regis University may include scholarships, state and federal financial aid (including veterans benefits), employer sponsored tuition reimbursement, attractive financing plans, and student loans. The Regis University Office of Financial Aid strives to help as many Regis students as funds permit.
